Summary: The Material Handler is responsible for handling, moving, and storing various pieces of equipment and materials, small and large for HVAC and Plumbing. This role will ensure that they record inventory statues in detail, and make sure deliveries properly match purchase orders. While this role has specific duties, they will also work to help all functions of the warehouse ensuring efficiency in the warehouse is kept as top priority.  The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and capable of operating warehouse equipment safely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Verify the accuracy of quantity and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Ability to unload, load and then properly organize all daily deliveries.
  • Label every product with accuracy and organize them with efficiency.
  • Identify and locate the right products during the delivery process.
  • Work with Warehouse Team to ensure a well-maintained and updated account of stock and inventory.
  • Handle returns by completing the technical documentation needed along with the other required communication for a successful return.
  • Keep material handing equipment, warehouse space, parking lot, and workspace in the best condition by conducting regular maintenance.
  • Ability to convey purchasing requirements and keeping data on the availability of products in short supply.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to locate missing packages, fix incorrect deliveries, and replace damaged products.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional relevant certifications or training is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a collaborative approach to working with team members.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and move items of various weights and sizes.
  • Capability to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks for extended periods.
  • This role may involve working in various warehouse environments, including areas with moderate to high noise levels and varying temperatures.
  • Understanding of customer service – this position will work with employees outside of their department and customers often.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while being proactive and managing their workload with efficiency in mind.
